SST 507 From Sustainability Issues to Transformation (Retreat)

This three-day, 15-hour retreat is designed as a transition from the first semester to the second semester of MAST. Each day will consist of a five-hour workshop among students and instructors with an initial review of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) discussed in the first semester and an introduction to the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), a focus in the second semester. The second day is dedicated to a preview of the next semester and an introduction to models of transformation and their alignment with concepts of sustainable futures. The last day is committed to reviewing different metrics for a situational assessment of sustainability parameters applied to the case study, which will serve as an anchor in the second semester.
