Timeline and Grace Period

The dissertation must be submitted no later than the end of the fourth year of study.

The program is designed for four years. If all requirements are not completed, students may request a grace period of up to two years. During this period, the designation ABD (All But Dissertation) may be used.

Failure to complete all requirements by the end of the grace period will result in the termination of candidacy. Work cannot be continued for a Ph.D. elsewhere.
