Admission Requirements

The admissions process begins with a declaration from a ranked professor at Franklin agreeing to supervise the candidate.

Swiss Degree Requirements:

Master degree in the field of the doctorate or a related field from an accredited Swiss university with final grade “good” (or equivalent) or better; OR
Master from a Swiss university of applied sciences or university of teacher education as defined by Swiss law, with equivalent grade

Foreign Degree Requirements:

Master degree from a program of at least 90 ECTS credits (or equivalent full-time workload in a Bologna-style system)
Diploma and all credited coursework obtained at a university accredited by the competent national authority
Diploma officially recognized by the state in which it was issued
Diploma entitles holder to pursue doctoral study at an accredited university in the awarding country

Exclusions: MAS, EMBA, MBA, or similar degrees do not qualify.

Admission may be conditional on proof of English proficiency.

All applicants must participate in an admission interview with the Program Director and a ranked professor (usually the intended supervisor).
