All requirements must be completed in the chosen discipline. If the capstone requirements are completed in CLCS, the first reader must be a CLCS professor; if they are completed in the second discipline, the second reader must be a CLCS professor.
Internship option: When pursuing a combined major in CLCS and a second discipline which requires an internship and related capstone(s), students must complete these requirements.

Option II Internship

A thesis is recommended for students interested in pursuing graduate studies. In the case of a combined major, please decide which discipline you wish to emphasize, and choose your first reader accordingly. An internship is recommended for students interested in entering a professional field. Students should take the first capstone course in their penultimate semester or in the second semester of their junior year.
It is strongly recommended that CLCS combined majors take at least one Academic Travel course with a CLCS.
