MGT 552 Leadership in Practice
This course exposes students to the challenges of leading and delivering a field project. By working on an applied research project provided by a company or an institution (client), students will learn how to address a complex business problem by breaking it down in smaller components each to be addressed with a different set of skills and knowledge base while maintaining the unifying overarching framework needed to provide concrete and impactful managerial solutions.
Students will practice how to create and manage teams that work for 8 weeks on a report that will be delivered for the client by overseeing the biweekly update with faculty and the client, coordinating activities, assigning prioritizing and collecting information and data as needed and deliver the final output.
