CPT 202 Futures Thinking: Forecasting
This computer modelling course introduces students to several different kinds of model simulations, those used to anticipate and prepare for challenges and opportunities across multiple diverse fields. Starting from a baseline (time = 0), students learn how to forecast trends based upon model inputs, and summarise model outputs into evidence based scenarios that illuminate alternative futures. Emphasis is placed on model thinking under uncertainty and on assessing how political, technological, economic, social, and environmental drivers shape long-term outcomes.
