Declaration of a Major

Students who intend to earn the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree at Franklin must declare a major. It is possible to declare a major after the student has completed his/her first semester which include credits received by transfer, advanced placement and/or advanced standing. Students are required to declare a major prior to having completed 60 credits. The student must be in good academic standing in order to declare a major. The declaration is accomplished by completing a Declaration of Academic Program form available from the Registrar’s office. The student will then be able to access an online Academic Plan customized to their declared major(s) and minor(s) in order to monitor progress toward degree completion.
